The theme of the conference is “ETHNOPHARMACOLOGY: GLOBALIZATION OF TRADITIONAL MEDICINE”. The traditional medicines, folk medicines, tribal systems, etc. have been contributing in a big way in the health care from time immemorial and they continue to contribute even in this era of modern medicine. COVID-19 pandemic almost compelled us to look at herbal drugs as a safer, better and reliable alternative for modern medicines in certain cases. There are genuine challenges in the areas of sustainability, safety, efficacy and quality of herbal drugs. There appears to be a big gap here which needs collaboration than competition. There is a need for modern scientific methods to relate and collaborate for the progress in ethnopharmacology for a healthy world. Hence, we shall focus and deliberate on strong rationale, newer technologies, better strategies to discover newer drugs and formulations from the nature. The conference will highlight on several crucial and contemporary issues on the ethnomedicine, Ethnopharmacology and Medicinal Plant Research by the renowned scientists across the globe. We hope this conference will provide a platform for the participants to present their research work, interact, debate and disseminate ideas amongst the distinguished professionals, eminent scientists, technologists, industrialists and traditional health care professionals. On behalf of the organizing committee D. S. T. S. Mandal’s College of Pharmacy, Solapur, P. A. H. Solapur University, Solapur and Society for Ethnopharmacology, it is our pleasure to invite you to participate in this conference and explore the opportunities.
