SCHOLARSHIPS / FREESHIPS / OTHER SCHEMES

D.S.T.S. Mandal’s College of Pharmacy, Solapur administers various scholarships awarded by the Central and State Governments in accordance with the criteria and guidelines established by the Government Agencies from time to time.

  • To avail the available scholarships student has to follow the rules and regulations laid by the Central and the State Government, which will be notified to students from time to time. 
  • The institute will notify the scholarship/ freeship advertisements to students and provide administrative assistance. 
  • Filling of Scholarship / Freeship applications is the responsibility of the eligible student; the institute will provide facility for online form filling. 
  • The institute will scrutiny of documents and after complete verification, the scholarship application will be forwarded to the higher authority.
  • The institute will also assist to students who are availing scholarship from Non-Government agencies and philanthropists in providing any documentary evidence as required by the agency or individual. 
  • Student can apply for only one scheme at a time. 
  • The institute will not be responsible for non-completion of process in time by student. In such case, student will have to deposit full fees. 

While completing the online procedure candidates are required to read the guidelines of scholarship/ freeship carefully and comply with the requirement of documents.

SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR STUDENTS OF MINORITY COMMUNITIES PURSUING HIGHER AND PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION

Department: Minority Development Department   Overview: The objective of the Scheme is to provide financial assistance to the meritorious students belonging to Minority Communities (Muslim, Buddhist, Christian, Sikh, Parsi, Jain& Jews Community) to enable them to pursue Professional and Technical Courses.
  • Scholarship Amount Maximum Rs.25,000/- Per Annum or Actual Tuition Fees whichever is less.
  • Scholarship Amount Maximum Rs.50,000/- Per Annum or Actual Tuition Fees and Exam Fee whichever is less effective from AY 2022-23.

Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS)

  • Seats up to maximum 5 percent of sanctioned intake per course shall be available. These supernumerary seats shall be available only to such Course(s) in an Institution, where a minimum of 50% of “Approved Intake” are filled up in last Academic year.
  • The Waiver is limited to the tuition fee as approved by the Fee Regulation Authority. All other fees except tuition fees shall be paid by the beneficiary.
  • The scheme is available only to Maharashtra State Candidates having their parent’s annual income less than Rs. 8 Lakh from all sources are only eligible.
  • These seats are allotted by the State CET Cell as per inter-se merit.
  • In the event of non-availability of students in this category the same shall not be given to any other category of applicants.

Overview:

To reduce the dropout ratio and encourage the Backward Class Students to undergo Post-Matric Courses

  • For SC/ Neo Buddhist/ST:
  • 100% Tuition Fees, Exam Fees and Maintenance Allowance are paid
  • Eligible students are paid maintenance allowance ranging from Rs. 230 p.m. to Rs.550 p.m. for boys and girls (day scholar) Rs. 380 p.m. to Rs. 1200 p.m. for Hostellers.
  • For OBC:
  • Maintenance allowance of Rs. 90 to Rs. 190 Per Month for day scholar and Rs. 150 to Rs. 425 per month for Hostellers
  • 50% Tuition fees and Exam feesfor OBC
  • For SBC/VJNT:
  • Maintenance allowance of Rs. 90 to Rs. 190 Per Month for day scholar and Rs. 150 to Rs. 425 per month for Hostellers
  • Tuition Fee, Exam Fee and Maintenance allowance are paid 100%
  • Applicant should be belongs to respective category
  • Applicants must be residents of Maharashtra
  •  75 % attendance is mandatory
  • Repeaters are not eligible for that year
  • For SC/ Nav Buddhist/ ST:
  • The parents/Guardian annual income should be less than or equal to Rs. 2.5 Lakhs
  • For OBC/SBC/VJNT:

GOVERNMENT OF INDIA POST-MATRIC MERIT-CUM-MEANS SCHOLARSHIP FOR MINORITIES

Ministry of Minority Affairs

Overview: 

The objective of the Scheme is to provide financial assistance to the poor and meritorious students belonging to minority communities to enable them to pursue professional and technical courses. The scheme is applicable for students belonging to Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains and Zoroastrians (Parsis)

  • Scholarship for Diploma, Degree and Post Graduate Degree education of Muslim, Buddhist, Christian, Sikh, Parsi & Jain students
  • Maximum Rs. 25,000/- or Actual course fees, whatever is less

Selection Procedure:

  • Student should apply online on the website of this Ministry i.e. www.scholarships.gov.in
  • Applications are verified by the institute and forwarded to the State Nodal Officer.
  • State-wise merit list is prepared before sanction of the scholarship
  • Scholarship will be awarded to the students who have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination and the annual income of whose parents/guardians from all sources does not exceed Rs.2.50 lakh.
  • Renewal Policy: The student has to pass the previous year examination and secured at least 50% marks
  • One copy of passport size photograph with signature 
  • Proof of permanent residence – Ration Card/ Light Bill/Telephone Bill / Passport / Election Card etc.
  • Fees receipt of the current academic year
  • B. Pharm: Secondary School Certificate ( S.S.C./10th) And Higher Secondary Certificate (12th) / Final Year Diploma Marklist
