OVERVIEW OF ADMISSION PROCESS

  • Commissioner of State CET Cell, Maharashtra is the Competent Authority for admission to B.Pharm/ M.Pharm/ Pharm D. in Maharashtra
  • The Competent Authority shall invite online applications from candidates for;
    • Maharashtra State Candidature Seats
    • All India Candidature Seats
    • Institutional Quota Seats
  • Candidate shall submit/upload necessary documents issued by the concerned Authority, along-with the application, in the Proforma given in information brochure
  • The list of documents to be submitted is also given in Information Brochure
  • All admissions are done through Centralized Admission Procedure on the basis of MHT-CET/NEET score which is conducted by Government of Maharashtra, State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai.
  • The centralized admission process is carried by Government of Maharashtra, State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai, on its website mahacet.org
  • The Competent Authority conducts Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) for the candidates.
  • Every student (Maharashtra State / OMS / All India Level Candidates) seeking admission to B. Pharm course must have appeared for MHT-CET/ NEET.
  • The MHT-CET information brochure is published by the State CET Cell on its website.
  • The inter-se-merit list is published on the website by competent authority on the basis of MHT-CET score.
  • All types of candidates seeking admissions to B. Pharm under CAP must register and get documents verified at designated Facilitation Center (FC) including Institute Level admissions.
  • The competent Authority conducts the specified admission rounds.
  • Students shall fill the Options online or at FC through their login.
  • The provisional allotment of CAP is displayed on website as per the schedule published.
  • The candidates shall report to allotted Institute and confirm the admission along with original documents and fees.
  • For admission to M. Pharm course, student must have a valid GPAT score.
  • The merit list for M. Pharm is prepared on the basis of GPAT score.
  • Admissions of M. Pharm are done by Competent Authority through online CAP rounds.

RESERVATIONS

  • All reservations shall be applicable to candidates belonging to Maharashtra only
  • Reservation is subject to fulfillment of the eligibility criteria specified by respective authorities

For Backward Class Category Candidates 

  • Percentage of reservation is applicable for seats available for Maharashtra candidates only
  • Backward class candidates must claim the category at the time of submission of application

CONDUCT OF CAP ROUNDS

  • After allotment, candidate may accept the allotted seat, pay seat acceptance fees and take print of Provisional Acceptance Letter
  • Only after accepting and confirming the seat, candidate should report to the allotted institute
  • The time schedule prescribed by the competent authority for compliances for various stages of CAP is mandatory

REPORTING AT INSTITUTE

  • Candidate must confirm the admission by paying the fee to institute as per schedule
  • Candidate shall submit ALL required original documents
  • If candidate fails to substantiate the claims, he forfeits the claim on the allotted seat
  • If a candidate is unable to produce original documents on account of pre-existing admission, he shall produce a certificate from the Head of the institution where he has already taken admission
  • Candidate shall produce the attested copies of the certificates duly attested by the Head of the concerned institution
  • Such candidates shall be required to pay fees immediately and permitted to submit the original certificates within 04 working days after the date of payment of fees
  • The Interim fee structure as approved by the Fee Regulating Authority shall be payable by the candidate
  • For SC/ST/VJDT NT(A) /NT(B) /NT(C) /NT(D) /SBC /OBC and EWS candidates, the scheme of concessions will be announced by the Central/ State Govt.
  • These candidates will get only that amount of waiver as notified in the circulars issued by the Govt Dept. from time to time
  • Concessions will be subject to fulfillment of norms and conditions laid down by these Depts.

  4. School Leaving Certificate, if required to substantiate claim
  5. Certificate of the Indian Nationality of the candidate
  6. For Second Year Pharmacy: Equivalence Certificate from MSBTE, for student with diploma from Other Board
